After 3 smooth flights, we safely arrived at our destination: Firenze!
Our appartamento is bright, airy and spacious with a piccolo terrace off the kitchen.
A quick Vespa ride for the piccolini.
Already putting the miles (kilometri) on the new stroller (Gulliver rides on the back).
Cell phone store: so far the BIGGEST challenge for my italian language skills. So many packages, plans, minutes, rates, charges, fees...We definitely didn't cover this vocabulary in my conversation classes! This is our second trip in two days to the TIM store in Piazza Beccharia. Apparently you need to bring a passport to buy a cell phone. TIM has the best coverage (even down in wine cellars they tell me) which is why we bought this brand. Not to mention a great name too!
Thanks for photos - names and places bring back memories of Firenze and Cinque terra! We are now preparing for our trip north. Will eagerly follow your adventures.

Buon giorno Holly e famiglia!!!! I left a comment yesterday but clearly I did something wrong b/c it's nowhere in here. I'm glad everyone is adjusting and having a great time. Do you know what Marco asked on his birthday? Is Gulliver already in Spain?(at least he was in the right continent LOL)then he asked if we could call Gulliver to tell him that he is five already. So I wanted him to see the photos that you posted and he said no b/c Gulli did not want to come home to play with him. So he is still upset over that!!! Can you believe it?
